Homai Te Pakipaki Live This Friday on Maori Television
The first live HOMAI TE PAKIPAKI of the year kicks off this Friday 11 May at 8.30pm.
Now in its sixth series, Maori Television’s original grassroots karaoke show is about to give the country’s singing hopefuls their chance in the spotlight.
Registrations to audition open at 3.30pm every Friday at Maori Television’s Newmarket studios
Auditions are open to anyone aged 16 or older and whanau come from far and wide to sing their hearts out on HOMAI TE PAKIPAKI.
After being selected to sing, pakis (contestants) go straight through to stand in front of the cameras where it’s up to them to show the text-voting audience at home what they’ve got.
The winner of each of the 20 heats receives $1000 and the chance to compete for prizes in the two semi-finals, then $10,000 in the grand final on 12 October.
Come join in the fun as the show broadcasts live from Maori Television’s Newmarket studios every Friday at 8.30pm.
