New series of The ITM Fishing Show


New Zealand’s favourite fishing show is returning for it’s ninth series of all new episodes every Saturday from May 5th, 7pm on TV3.

This season, The ITM Fishing Show will reach the milestone of 200 episodes, a feat that very few weekly television shows have achieved.

But rather than get stale, the interesSng themes, new locaSons and invenSve filming techniques give each episode new intrigue.

And it’s obvious that even aXer 200 episodes that it’s not geYng old for presenter MaG Watson.

Every adventure, locaSon and cast of the line is accompanied by MaGs trademark enthusiasm and passion.

Be it a huge marlin or a humble snapper, MaG seems to keep coming up with nuggets of wisdom and insights about the fish based on his vast experience, but such is the enthusiasm you’d be forgiven for thinking it was his first catch.

This season viewers are going to see some of the best snapper and kingfish sessions we’ve ever filmed.

“Seen it all before” you say?

Well according to MaG, who has invented yet another way to get a camera up close to the fish -­ “the footage will blow your mind!

I’ve seen it a hundred Smes in edit and I sSll look at it and yahoo aloud in the edit suite, I just can’t wait to show our viewers.

Offshore locaSons include TahiS, Niue and a road trip through Far North Queensland where MaG and the team hit the red-­dirt roads towing their own boat to see what adventure they can find.

Sharks, Crocodiles and Barramundi are the source of excitement… and some sScky situaSons, but you will laugh just as much as you shake your head in disbelief.

This series has episodes filmed right through the North and South Islands, many of the spots viewers will recognise from just down the road, or where they’ve spent summer holidays, while other spots are hidden gems.

Along the way, MaG teams up with a range of local kiwi characters to hunt out the best fishing, and even pluck out some paua and crayfish for dinner.

So if watching the grass grow isn’t your idea of a night in, then tune into your very own, home grown, world class, ITM Fishing Show.
