With their entire 2012 New Zealand tour selling out in under 10 minutes, One Direction are giving their fans a chance to see the group live in October 2013 as part of their World Tour, which includes major arena shows in the US and UK & Ireland before coming to New Zealand. The national tour kicks off in Christchurch on October 3, 2013 and then hits Auckland (see below for full dates). Their 2013 UK and Ireland Arena Tour sold out immediately - an estimated 300,000 tickets were sold in the first day - resulting in further dates being added. Their entire May/June 2012 tour of the USA also sold out in minutes, with their December 3 show at Madison Square Garden selling out in less than 10 minutes.
