Greg Behrendt: Clown From The Neck Down

Media Release – February 9th 2012
For Immediate Release

NZ COMEDY TRUST PRESENTS
GREG BEHRENDT (USA)
CLOWN FROM THE NECK DOWN

The NZ Comedy Trust are proud to bring for the first time in New Zealand, co-author of He’s Just Not That Into You and consultant for Sex and the City, Mr. Greg Behrendt as part of the NZ International Comedy Festival!

Behrendt is also the musical force behind America’s only instrumental surf, ska and punk combo The Reigning Monarchs, making the world’s one and only Podcuddle Walking The Room (with Dave Anthony), writing a new TV pilot to star Hank Azaria and the world’s foremost collector of small, glass pig figurines.

Greg Behrendt has charmed both stand-up audiences and regular Janes and Joe’s with his refreshingly honest opinions on matters of love, sex and romance. Not afraid to call a spade a spade or an asshole and asshole, Greg gives the female of the species a rundown of how men think and act.

It’s this insight which accidently landed him into co-writing the three-million-copy bestseller He’s Just Not That Into You, offering sage advice in the modern day world of relationships, which also spawned the blockbuster movie of the same name!

Behrendt’s been a lifelong stand-up comic however, despite those iconic pop-culture accolades. In his career, Behrendt has performed alongside the likes of David Cross, Patton Oswalt, and Margaret Cho, seen on such illustrious television shows as Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and performed a hallowed Comedy Central special with Greg Behrendt is Uncool, broadcast in 2006. Enjoy him in person or at a great distance but enjoy him just the same!
