New Zealand’s biggest neighbourhood celebration is next week – get involved!
Thousands of Kiwis across New Zealand will join in the country’s biggest neighbourhood celebration on 24-25 March.
From Northland to Invercargill, neighbours across Aotearoa will be making a special effort to connect with each other over their fence.
Rebecca Harrington, Neighbours Day Aotearoa campaign manager, says “we’ve had contact with hundreds of residents all over New Zealand eager to make stronger connections with their neighbours.”
“They’ve told us how important neighbour relationships are, and we are excited for the neighbours who will be getting together for the very first time. It’s inspiring that so many people are getting involved in Neighbours Day 2012. We’re also encouraged by the great support from community, business, and local government leaders who are backing the campaign.”
Everyone supporting Neighbours Day is encouraged to sign up and put their street on the map at www.neighboursday.org.nz
