Insiders guide to Destiny and other stuff
One of Destiny Church’s more prominent leaders has taken to blogging After only a week the website has already attracted thousands of viewers.
Richie Lewis, who has represented the church on TV One’s Close Up and TV3’s Campbell Live, and most mainstream media, has launched www.richielewis.com, and has posted articles relating to a number of controversial topics, including:
What every Journalist needs to know about Destiny’s Bishop
Are you concerned about Destiny’s influence?
Nothing cultish about Destiny
Mind that media madness
“This blog is an opportunity to share my views without interference, something not easy achieved through media. Basically my ‘take’ on issues I think are important. Over time topics will broaden, and feedback gives me an idea of what those topics should be,” he says.
He adds feedback from his first post “Are you concerned about Destiny’s influence” prompted themes of a few subsequent posts, and stresses the blog is a hobby not intended to represent the church’s official position on matters.
“Content is unique to my personality and perspective. I think it can add to the conversations being had out there, usually involving people who have strong opinions about me and my church, yet they know neither,” he added.
