Star studded line-up confirmed for Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park
A star studded line-up of some of Australasia's most talented entertainers is now confirmed for Coca-Cola Christmas in
the Park, one of New Zealand's most popular, free outdoor Christmas extravaganzas.
Co-hosted by MORE FM's Simon Barnett and Gary McCormick in Hagley Park North on Saturday 26th November, this year's show
features a diverse line-up of talented performers. Performers include platinum selling artist Stan Walker, recording
stars Vince Harder and Massad, and blonde bombshell Ainslie Allen. Sharing the big stage will be dancers from Avril
Levings School of Dance, St Margaret's Dance School and The Pacifica Group from Aranui High School.
A highlight of the show for many Cantabrians will be a performance by 21 year old Amy Bowie, who wrote and composed
'Fairy Lights' a moving Christmas ballad inspired by her wish to see Christchurch lit up again. Amy will be joined by
Burnside High School singing mate Anna Whittaker and supported by choir and orchestra in an inaugural performance
specially arranged by musical director Penny Dodd.
Organisers of this year's show say that everyone can look forward to a magical night of top class entertainment in a
perfect outdoor party setting and anticipate an audience in excess of 100,000.
"Since 1994 Coca-Cola has been proud to host Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park for New Zealanders. It's a great
opportunity for friends and families to come together and celebrate what many people describe as the happiest night of
the year," says Paul Fitzgerald, General Manager of Coca-Cola Oceania.
This year Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park continues to support Surf Life Saving New Zealand in their efforts to ensure
Kiwi s have a safe summer at the beach.
