Wellington gets Wheel Stylish!
On November 17, the worlds of fashion and bicycles are coming together to create Wheel Stylish, a fashion show celebrating the winning combination of stylish clothing, women and bicycles.
Wheel Stylish will feature famous Wellington fashion houses Starfish, SWonderful, Kowtow, Missy's Room, Kilt, Ziggurat and Emma. Their designs will be modelled by gorgeous Wellington women who will take to the runway on their beautiful bikes.
Wheel Stylish is in its second year and is the brainchild of the cycling advocacy group Frocks On Bikes, who promote stylish women embracing bikes as everyday transport.
Frocks On Bikes co-coordinator Isabella Cawthorn says Wheel Stylish emphasises how biking complements everyone's personal style - besides being a fantastic way to get around.
"Wheel Stylish will showcase how easy it is to look fabulous in local fashion, while you're enjoying all the convenience, savings, freedom and fun of riding two wheels. It's going to be a great evening for everyone who loves fashion, fun and freedom of movement."
Supporting the fashion show will be local diva Betty Grey (of Rosy Tin Teacaddy fame) as MC, with music and break dance performances by fantastic local DJs and dancers.
Wheel Stylish will be happening at Shed 11 on Wellington's waterfront, 7pm Thursday 17th November.
Tickets are $10 per person and guests will receive pre-show nibbles and beverages from sponsors Logan Brown and Grove Mill Wines, from 7pm. For pre-sales, email frocksonbikes@gmail.com.
