21-10-11: The Silver Ferns will take on the Australian Diamonds this Sunday at Burswood Dome, Perth, 4pm (NZ Time) on SKY Sport 2. Delayed coverage will be on Prime at 9.30pm with a replay at 4pm on the 24th October.

Two of the past four
meetings between the Silver Ferns and Diamonds have been
decided after extra time. The Silver Ferns won the final of
the Commonwealth Games in extended extra time 66-44 while
the Diamonds defeated the Silver Ferns 58-57 in extra time
in the final of the World Championships in July.
This
match is the third match of the five test series in the
battle for the Constellation Cup. The Diamonds won the first
Test of the series and the Silver Ferns won the second.

The Silver Ferns and Diamonds have
played in Perth on 3 previous occasions with the Silver
Ferns winning two and the Diamonds one.
This will be
the very first Netball Test played at the Burswood Dome in
Perth.
Both the Silver Ferns and Diamonds enter this
series with new Coaches.
Waimarama Taumaunu is
the new Silver Ferns Coach. Taumaunu takes up her
appointment after the retiring of Ruth Aitken. Taumaunu is
just the 9thperson to lead the Silver Ferns since 1938.
Lisa Alexander is the new Diamonds Coach. Alexander is the
14thCoach of the Diamonds. Alexander is first Coach in 20
years to lead the Diamonds that has not played an
International Test for the Diamonds.
The past nine
results in Tests between the Silver Ferns and Diamonds have
alternated dating back to 20 September 2009.
Laura
Langman played her 78thconsecutive Test for the Silver Ferns
against England on October 6 in Invercargill. Langman has
not missed a Test the Silver Ferns have played since making
her debut in 2005.
Irene van Dyk with 128 Tests for
the Silver Ferns is the most capped New Zealand Netballer
and equalled the World Record for Tests for an individual
country when she played her 200thTests against England on
October 6. Van Dyk is the World Test Cap record holder with
200 Tests including the 72 she played for South Africa.
Cathrine Latu, Sulu Tone-Fitzpatrick and Kayla Cullen all
made their Silver Ferns debuts against England on October 3
in Auckland.
