Unknown Mortal Orchestra Live in New Zealand This December

Unknown Mortal Orchestra have announced they will play two New Zealand shows this December, bringing their much-hyped style of ‘psych pop’ to New Zealand for the first time.

Ex-Mint Chicks founding member Ruban Neilson fronts this exciting new trio, whose debut album has been receiving praise from across the globe.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra will play Wellington’s San Francisco Bathhouse on Friday December 16th and Auckland’s Kings Arms Tavern on Sat December 17th.

Having been signed to Fat Possum Records in the USA and Seeing Records in New Zealand, Unknown Mortal Orchestra released their debut album in June of this year. It features the singles ‘Little Blu House’, ‘Bicycle’, ‘How Can You Luv Me?’ and the silver scroll nominated ‘Ffunny Ffrends’. The album received high praise from the likes of Pitchfork, NME and The Guardian. UMO is currently on a tour of the U.S and will headline shows at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York before heading to perform in New Zealand for the first time!
