Palestine- land without a people for a people without a land

Published: Sat 1 Oct 2011 11:12 AM
Was Palestine ever “a land without a people for a people without a land.”
In an act of compassionate pragmatism in 1948, the British help to set up the State of Israel on the site of the former Jewish homeland. Unfortunately for world peace, there were people already living there – the Palestinians.
More than 60 years later, despite general agreement in principle for a "two-state solution", the situation looks no nearer a resolution. It continues to produce diplomatic and military unrest at the heart of the Middle East.
To extend our understanding of the situation, this week's guest In Conversation with Noel Cheer on Triangle/Stratos Television is a member of the Palestine Human Rights Campaign, Janfrie Wakim.
Stratos Television, Nationwide: Monday October 3rd at 8:00pm (repeated October 5th at 6:30am and October 7th at 12:30pm).
