Variety - The Children's Charity is hosting a gala screening of The Lion King in 3D, with all money raised going towards Variety's Future Kiwi Kids programme.
It's nearly a decade since The Lion King last appeared on the big screen and now the popular classic is back for the first time ever in breath-taking 3D.
The screening will take place on Sunday, 18 September at 10.30am at V-Max, Event Cinemas, St Lukes, Auckland. Tickets cost $20 for adults and $12.50 for children 14 and under and can be purchased from www.variety.org.nz.
"The Lion King is a classic that we all love and seeing it in 3D will be an amazing experience," says Lorraine Taylor, CEO, Variety - The Children's Charity. "It will enchant everyone from 5 to 95 so bring your parents and your children along to escape to this magical world."
Variety's Future Kiwi Kids programme helps Kiwi kids to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Future Kiwi Kids includes Variety's Gold Heart Scholarships, the Variety Voices performance group, the Future Kiwi Kids Fund and various technology initiatives.
This event is organised by Friends of Variety, a voluntary group that supports the work that Variety does to create brighter futures for Kiwi kids.
