Lisa Chappell Returns To The Scene In South Australia
‘My Kind Of Place’
Saturday 10 September, Tv1, 7.30pm
Renowned stage and screen actress and songstress, Lisa Chappell this week shares her very special places in the South
Australia episode of ‘My Kind of Place.’ Lisa, who shot to stardom as Jess in McLeod’s Daughters described her return to
South Australia as “something of a homecoming.” After touching down in the State’s capital, Adelaide, Lisa checks back
in on old friends in the small rural town of Freeling and the famous Gungellan Pub. Here, she hangs out with the locals,
shares a beer in a stubby holder and chuckles over souvenir tea towels bearing her likeness.
Lisa describes the raw spirit and irreverent humour that is country Australia as being something she misses most of her
time spent there, but reveled in the opportunity to be a tourist in the region for the very first time.
Being a tourist meant riding a bike through the vineyards of the Barossa, making her own wine at iconic Penfolds winery
and then taking in the spectacle of nature that is the mighty Murray River where Lisa captains her own houseboat
complete with Jacuzzi and much, much more!
