Put a White Can on the Mantelpiece
Steinlager has created a virtual mantelpiece on Facebook, where people can upload photos of their white can as a pledge
of unconditional support and belief in the All Blacks.
People who post photos of their can could be in to win rewards, with special attention given to those who do something
creative or unusual.
Currently, over 11,000 believers have signed up to the Facebook page in support of the team, with the tally still
rising. Todd Gordon from Steinlager is surprised by how many believers still have white cans from the days of old
“New Zealanders have really come out in force to support the All Blacks and the comeback of our white can. It reminds
them of a good time in history, and excites them as to what the future will bring for the boys in black”
“To see everyone putting their white can pride of place on the mantelpiece as a pledge of support to the team is quite
special for both the fans and the All Blacks. There are some great pictures being uploaded, it’s really starting to
capture the nation’s imagination,” says Gordon.
