Private Moon
Utilising humour, satire and poetic tenderness, Moscow-based artists Leonid Tishkov and Boris Bendikov provide poignant insights into the human condition, particularly the relationship between personal will and state control as experienced in Soviet Russia. This exhibition presents their most recent series of large-scale colour photographs. Each depicts an intimate and evolving relationship between a man and his Private Moon.

Claudia Arozqueta on contemporary Russian video art
Sharing her knowledge of contemporary art in Moscow, art writer and curator Claudia Arozqueta will place the photographic work of Leonid Tishkov and Boris Bendikov in context by presenting a screening of recent video art from Russia. Opening event for the exhibition Private Moon, part 3 of in camera: a project series around and about collecting.

Ydessa Hendeles' exhibition entitled The Living and the Artificial-consisting of works of art all comprising a photograph of people in the company of teddy bears-puzzled Agnès Varda so much that she decided to go to Toronto where the artist lives and interview her. In front of Agnes Varda's camera, Ydessa gives reason for her unique artistic approach.
