Some serious fun to be had in Ellerslie this weekend
Jugglers, Acrobats, Aerialists, Unicyclists, Hula Hoopists, Comedians and more
Saturday 20 August 2011: The first ever Auckland Circus Convention will be held this Saturday from 10am - 10pm at Michael Park School, 55 Amy Street in Ellerslie. The convention offers a full day of workshops, a youth show and a circus showcase spectacular for the whole family at 6.30pm. Teachers include Cody Harrington, World Juggling Federation Juggling Championm, Bryon Hutton from Australia, Aerial Troupe The Dust Palace and World Unicycle Champion Chris Huriwai from Kaikohe.
Festival organizer Paul Klaassan, said “We have some top national and international teachers running workshops and showcasing their talent. The workshops are aimed at serious circus enthusiasts but still cater for beginners. Our long term aim is to attract top international talent into the country and create a platform for local artists to work professionally...and have some serious fun.”
Please note, children under 13 years of age need an accompanying adult.
