NZ Body Art Awards Music
Due to this year's Awards theme Aotearoa: Land of the long white cloud, we have selected our finest 'homegrown' musical
artists to provide the music for the show. Tiki Tane, Shapeshifter, House of Shem, Nathan Haines and Black Seeds are
just some of the names that will musically accompany the most extravagant creatures up and down the catwalk.
Get ready for a true New Zealand experience this year!
Airbrushing workshop
This weekend we have had the very last one of our July creative workshops. The Airbrushing class for beginners, given by
Michael George, has been a very fun, insightful and inspiring event. We would like to thank all attendants for
participating and we hope everyone has enjoyed this wonderful 2-day course.
Last minute call! Body artist needed for music video!
Anthony Plant is looking for a body artist to help him out full day with shooting a music video for the band Midnight
Youth. The video will have a bit of a cartoony look with the band performing in blacklight, so you will be working with
a lot of black & UV paints. When? This very Sunday the 21st of August!
A small fee is paid to cover materials and offer a bit of pocket money.

Models wanted for art exhibition
We are looking for 2 models to be available on 5 September 2011 to help exhibit paintings for an art exhibition by
Vaughan Clements at the Victoria Palace Theatre in Devonport.
You would be required from 3pm until 9.15pm approximately, and would be naked apart from the paints and a G-string. You
will be painted to match brickwalls.

NZ BODY ART AWARDS 2011
AOTEAROA: LAND OF THE LONG WHITE CLOUD
The NZ Body Art Awards is taking flight and moving across the bridge into the heart of Auckland city, it will take up
residence in the mighty ASB theatre in the Aotea Centre on October 1.
This is an exciting development for the Awards, to enter into one of the cultural epicentres of New Zealand, especially
during a time where all eyes will be on this country due to the Rugby World Cup.
The venue will host over 90 body artists and performers, who will be walking along the new catwalk to themed music. 2011
marks the sixth year for the awards, the event continues to help set the standard for New Zealand make up artistry and

Our NZBAA Choreographer
Choreographing this year’s proceedings is the multi-talented Morag Magnolia Brownlie, who is no stranger to the art
world.
Morag directed and choreographed Man Unleashed as part of the 2007 Montana World of Wearable art Awards Show, and
recently audiences were treated to the opulence and flamboyant feast of fantasy in her show Birds of Paradise.
We are very happy to welcome her on board and look forward to set up a truly incredible show together.
