Arts Exhibition Amazes and Inspires
The Wearable Creationz season began on Friday with VIP opening of the Art exhibition which received acclaim as the best and largest selection of art ever seen in the region. Since opening to the public, visitors from all over the country plus international visitors have commented on the variety and quality of the 250 pieces of work, ranging in size, media and price.
In the first 24 hours, 20 pieces of artwork sold, which will contribute to the Creative Art Trust, and enables the continued support of youth within our community. “One artist sold all of her five works within the first hour of the exhibition opening”, said Trustee Mijo Katavic. It is fantastic that the local community is supporting this event. Our community has a fantastic opportunity to view some amazing art, so come down to the Energy Event Centre and let your imagination run wild and be inspired.”
The exhibition is free to view and is open daily from 9am to 4pm until Sunday 21st when it closes at 3pm. There will also be an opportunity on Wednesday evening when the exhibition will remain open until 7pm, and entertainment will be provided by Keith Garrett and friends.
The exhibition offers a fantastic viewing experience, while also providing a fresh, alternative way to enjoy art, by meeting artists at work during scheduled daily displays.
Tickets are still available from Ticketmaster for the Wearable Creationz event which begins with a matinee on Thursday 18th , Gala show on Friday night 19th , and Awards show on Saturday 20th .
