The Designers Institute New Zealand in association with the Auckland Council, presents Design in the Landscape.
Design in the Landscape is proposed as a New Zealand wide business initiative, championed by Auckland Council, to raise
the international profile and export sales of architects and designers.
This initiative meets Auckland Unleashed economic priority areas by stimulating international recognition of New
Zealand's innovation and inspirational architects and designers. This will enable Auckland to become a competitive and
prosperous city whilst also advancing the social, economic, cultural and vibrant quality of life for people within urban
areas.
The presenters, Lindy Johnson, Manager Creative Industries, Queensland State Government and Shane Thompson, Chair of
HEAT Advisory Board, will elaborate on the successes and learning's of the Queensland model.
