News From Arch Hill
Hi there,
It's reassuring to find out the Prime Minister of New Zealand can afford a good publicist. All the more to get him on Letterman...that top ten made us look really cool. Despite our plucky little dollar, I'm now confident the tourists will be surging into New Zealand really soon! We at Arch Hill we don't have the same promotional budget for that sort of thing. So are sticking to the humble email. Luckily, we think some of this music is pretty good. Hopefully it speaks for itself.
Welcome to new subscribers - if you must you can unsubscribe down the bottom, but we'd love you to stick around if you can. We don't send out too many emails.

PUNCHES - New Album, Video and Download
Punches have a new video for the song "Give it Up" from their forthcoming album "Etheria - released on Arch Hill Recordings, 8th of August 2011.
The video was directed by John Campbell and Toby Longbottom - both from Campbell Live (for those outside NZ this is a prime time news and current affairs TV programme.
The video came about because John Campbell was a regular customer at Auckland's Cafe Altezano. James Duncan worked at that cafe. The two found they had a mutual appreciation of good music. They regularly discussed their favourite bands and albums... Read the full story here

FAMILY CACTUS, Tour, Vinyl, Download and Free EP

It just so happens that they have also now got the album on vinyl that includes CLEAR Vinyl and also a giant 600x600 sized poster of a nice stag. It is pretty collectable so don't miss out. We actually got a little carried away this time so here is a big photo to whet your appetite.
You should also make sure you hook yourself up with the FREE DOWNLOAD of the TOUR EP with three tracks on it. One of them is an unreleased "Spirit Lights" outtake album track ("Champaign Marxists") and the other two are from the Erskine Sessions.
Speaking of the Erskine Sessions, make sure you take a look at the live Erskine Sessions videos they did for Whole & Red, Neighbourhood and Fields and Fields. Plus - there is a new "official" that video can be watched here…or below if you can see it
