Last week to get Young and Batty!
Young and Hungry winds to a close this Saturday, so there are just five more chances to check out these great new New Zealand shows. I have (finally) seen them all, and can honestly say there is something in there for everyone. There are some great performances, some interesting design and lots of zombies, so check out the theatre makers of the future before they are stars!
We are looking ahead to our annual Maintenace Week as well, a chance to get the place spic and span for the rest of the year. We need all the help we can get, so have a look below about how you can volunteer to help out your favourite theatre! We often have free tickets and other assorted treats lying about the place for people that can give us a little bit of their time...
I've just come back from a great photo shoot for the BATS Christmas spectacular. I'm not going to tell you what it is yet, but keep your eyes peeled for details of another fantastic festive treat!
And finally, we farewelled Front-of-House Manager Jackson Coe this week - he is off to NYC to do a bit of study and we wish him all the best! Jen O'Sullivan steps up into the manager role, and we will have couple of new faces at the box office over the next few weeks - say hi to Fleur and Dasha next time you're in!
See you at the theatre!

Win cool stuff!
Richard Huber's Glorious has already had slamming seasons in Dunedin and Christchurch, and we are stoked to have a double pass to give away to the Wellington opening. It's a classic screwball comedy, so to be in to win simply tell me your favourite black and white movie. I've always loved the opening bit of The Wizard of Oz. That counts right....?
Congrats to last weeks winner Robin Murphy who has won our final double season pass to Young and Hungry. Awesome!

Maintenance Week
BATS keeps our prices cheap as chips so you guys can see the freshest work in town. Now, this comes at a bit of a cost for us, which is that we rely on volunteers to help us out with making the theatre a sweet place to work in and see shows.
So...next week (until Friday 12 August) is the great BATS maintenance week, where we clean, preen, paint, drill, fix and generally make the place better. We’d love it if you could please come help!
We’ll be doing the work all next week from 9am – 6pm and no amount of time you can spare is too small. Just make sure you don’t wear your Sunday best. We’d hate to get gunk on your junk.
Just email todd@bats.co.nz with when we can expect you to come help out, along with a contact numberor email - we will be in touch to confirm!
