Dukes to rock Lincoln

Dukes to rock Lincoln

Saturday 6 August 8—11 PM

A full sound and lights show will rock the Lincoln Events Centre in August when Christchurch five piece band Dukes hit the stage.

Described as infectious and unpretentious, Dukes’ music is award-winning fun. Lead singer, Matt Barus, is a natural front man and his energy envelops the entire stage and audience.

The band has won various awards and has had songs featured on television programmes including the US series Brothers and Sisters and NZ’s Outrageous Fortune. They’ve toured with INXS, Dave Dobbyn and Gin Wigmore, among others.

Radio listeners will recognise the band’s bigger hits including their top 10 single, Vampires and Time Is A Train.

Organised by the Selwyn District Council Youth Advisor Chris Martin, the show is a chance for young and old to celebrate the opening of the new Lincoln Events Centre and to shake off the winter blues at the same time.

Joining Dukes will be Selwyn talents Roseanna Gamlen-Greene, Total Effect and Live Wire.

Doors will open at 7.30, door sales $10.
