Dane also won an APRA Silver Scroll Award for Most Performed Work in New Zealand (most played on radio and television in New Zealand) for his single “Cruel.” He is currently working on his second album and song writing with some of the world’s top writers. Artisan Guns
Last year was a big year for the Auckland-based band being nominated for the country’s most prestigious song writing award, APRA Silver Scroll, for their single “Autumn.” Artisan Guns were also nominated for “Break-through Artist of the Year Award” at NZ Music Awards 2010 and nominated for “Best Group Video” at 2010 Juice TV Awards. 2011 has been a busy song writing year for Artisan Guns, as they are about to head into the studio to record their debut album.
Iva Lamkum
Iva’s single 'White Roses' was nominated for a 2008 APRA Silver Scroll. Lamkum was also nominated for the People’s Choice Award at the Vodafone NZ Music Awards and performed live in 2009. Performing live, it is easy to see why the credits are rolling in, either performing solo with her acoustic guitar or accompanied by her stunning 4-piece band, an ensemble of some of Wellington's best-known & respected musicians including her musical director and producer, Caleb Robinson. Iva and Caleb are currently working on Iva’s debut album due for release later this year.
Mel Parsons
Following the success of her debut record ‘Over My Shoulder’, Tui-award finalist Mel Parsons is on the cusp of the release of her brand new album. Parsons has supported and played alongside some of NZ’s best including Don McGlashan, The Warratahs, Anna Coddington, Greg Johnson, along with a nationwide tour in 2010 with Anika Moa. Her debut album was a finalist in the NZ Music Awards for Folk Album of the Year in 2009, and she has toured NZ numerous times both as a solo artist and with her backing band “The Rhythm Kings.”
Ivy Lies
Ivy Lies are thrilled of their eagerly anticipated debut album – Little Mind Games. Two years in the making and spanning L.A and N.Z for production duties, Little Mind Games was recorded in L.A with producer extraordinaire Clif Magness (Grammy Award winner and responsible for penning hits for Avril Lavigne & Kelly Clarkson). The Trio, originally from Christchurch, were formally under the name 'Starlett' while the girls were still at school. Ivy Lies won a Juice TV award in May 2010, the 'McKenna Break Thru Video’ for “Addicted.”
Young Lyre
Young Lyre is about making great music for others to have great moments listening to. Their latest single “Cinema Smile” is about to be more widely released with a video.
