Winners announced for the ‘Face of R&G’ model search
R&G last night announced the winners of its ‘Face of R&G’ model search at the launch party for its new concept store on Auckland’s High St.
With hundreds of quality entrants to choose from, the R&G team made the decision to announce four winners, two guys and two girls. They are: Alistair Boyd, Krystian Heath, Kitty Riddell and Rosie Herdman (check them out in the attached image).
They will travel to Turkey in three weeks time with renowned fashion photographer Derek Henderson to shoot R&G’s Spring/Summer advertising campaign.
R&G designer John Prikryl said, “It was difficult to choose from over 200 faces but the ultimate winners had the right personality, enthusiasm, energy and a sense of adventure; all of which will be needed in Turkey! As a group the energy and dynamics clicked straight away so it will be a real road trip with a great group.”

R&G is made by Rodd & Gunn, for their younger, trend-forward customer. Rodd & Gunn’s Classic collection can be recognised by the traditional Pointer Dog, however R&G has followed it’s own path symbolised by the Mallard Duck. The brand reflects a fresh, rugged and masculine energy, and has built it's own loyal customer base.
The R&G range draws on its outdoor heritage whilst using a number of authentic treatments and vintage finishes for a lived-in effect. Crafting an assortment of edgy pieces for their shopper offering a variety of threads for any character, R&G is a staple fashion must have for men throughout New Zealand.
There are now two R&G concept stores in Auckland. The first was opened in 2010 at 30 Osborne Street, Newmarket. The new store at 21 High St, Auckland Central opened on 20 May 2011.
