JUNE 2011

NEW LOOK
You may have heard NZFW has a new look for 2011, not only are we running early this year due to timing of the Rugby World Cup, we have a brand new venue in store for you. The Viaduct Events Centre at 161 Halsey Street, not far from where we used to live. Why don’t you see for yourself? You can check out the new venue here at www.viaductevents.co.nz . With sweeping views from the Harbour Bridge to the City and beyond, the venue, which will be used for the first time by NZFW, is the perfect location for showcasing New Zealand’s most impressive fashion talents

NZFW ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE
NZFW is also excited by the new support of Auckland Tourism Events and Economic Development (ATEED), the newly formed, council controlled organisation, charged with lifting the Auckland region's economic wellbeing. ATEED has identified NZFW as one of four key, existing Auckland events that deliver significant returns to the city and offer potential for growth in the future. As an event showcasing an industry that contributes $230m in exports annually to the economy, NZFW has successfully generated huge financial benefits to the Auckland region and the country, across 10 years.

KIM SKILDUM-REID
On 8th June NZFW looks forward to welcoming back Kim Skildum-Reid as special guest and host to our annual partner sponsorship seminar. Kim is one of the world’s top corporate sponsorship consultants, trainers, speakers, and authors, with 25 years experience across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Australasia. Every year NZFW sponsors and partners are offered the chance to work with Kim in an amazing full day workshop – a relationship that is proving to be well worth it for NZFW, as we are pleased to learn that Kim is now working with some of our previous sponsors and partners whom we introduced over the last couple of years.
