Baa Baa BATS!

The dust is only just starting to settle after the madness of the NZ International Comedy Festival. Anyone who came through the theatre over the weekend will have been a part of the craziness as we had three sell-out shows! Thanks to everyone for making the Festival such a success, especially our Pit Bar sponsors Tuatara. Cheers guys!

Of course, it's full steam ahead at BATS with the opening of Arthur Meek's Sheep this Wednesday. A multi-generational epic spanning 160 years and three countries this bold and exciting piece of work looks set to become a modern Kiwi classic. I saw a run through yesterday and it was stunning - Long Cloud Youth Theatre are totally living up to their reputation of delivering energetic, exciting performances. With two casts tackling this theatrical beast, it's sure to go off. Some shows are already completely booked out, so get in early to make sure you don't miss out.

And make sure you pop into the Pit this weekend. Not only is it the cosiest little bar in town, we have Robbie Tripe and Tane Upjohn-Beatson popping in on Saturday night to reprise their hit show Too Darn Hot which premiered at the Mighty Mighty earlier in the year. Definitely one to check out!

See you at the theatre!

Congrats to Sylvia Bagnall who has picked up a double pass to the world premiere of Sheep. Ace.
