Cold Feet: Liam Finn
Winding down after a beautiful summer at Piha beach in west Auckland, New Zealand, Liam Finn had accomplished writing 10 songs for his long-awaited second album.
In such artistic and hypnotic surroundings, the completed album will undoubtedly introduce us all to a new side of Liam Finn.
Cold Feet is a quintessential example of those surroundings at play says Liam , “I’ve never written with nostalgic ideas in mind, but I started playing that old 60’s R kind of strum and these chords reminded me of a Tim Burton movie…. it kept sticking in my head. And it stayed there for a couple of months, so I finally sat down and wrote the song.”
It’s been four years since the release of 2007’s ‘I’ll Be Lighting’ and times have changed, but Liam Finn has progressed with those times and has arisen as an initiator, and a luminary local artist that has made good abroad…
And for good reason:
18 dates throughout the USA in March/April including SXSW performances
Sold Out dates in the UK in April with more shows to be announced due to popular demand
"Excellent, poppy-rock-with-a-dark-soul" – BILLBOARD.COM
"the only thing in the room that could even compete with Finn’s restless energy was his impressive talent as a musician." – POP MATTERS
Cold Feet is the lead single from Liam’s sophomore album FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) and the prelude to what can only be described as his most accomplished work to date.
Cold Feet is available to download on itunes from Monday 2nd May.
FOMO is released in NZ on the 10th June.
