Variety Seeks Christchurch Children To Help
Variety - The Children's Charity is seeking applications for financial help from families and children who have been affected by the earthquake in Christchurch.
Variety is there for children in all sorts of challenging circumstances and has been working in the Christchurch community for many years supporting sick, disabled and disadvantaged children. Some examples of things that the charity is funding from its earthquake appeal include replacing mobility and medical equipment for children with special needs, providing toys or equipment for those who suffered great loss, financial help with school or sports fees, or helping children to cope with loss.
Variety has the ability to respond quickly, reaching children in need across the country when they need it most. The charity has raised more than $164,000 through donations to its earthquake appeal. It is working with local schools, communities and individuals to fund a number of projects and is also currently looking to support any additional children who have been affected.
If you and your family require help, or know of any children that do, please visit www.variety.org.nz or telephone 09 520 4111 to complete an application for funding.
