This Week On Hyundai Code: Catherine Latu, Elijah Taylor, Chopper Chapman

Newly announced Silver Ferns squad member Catherine Latu and Vodafone Warriors utility Elijah Taylor will be catching up with the crew on the HYUNDAI CODE couch tonight.

With the Silver Ferns 2011 squad only announced this week, HYUNDAI CODE producer Fiona Apanui-Kupenga said it was timely to have the Mystic player on the show who would no doubt be talking about the upcoming international season.

The third guest for the night is Muay Thai and boxing former world champion Shane “Chopper” Chapman who will chat to the boys and Jenny-May about his Thai boxing career. Also in the studio, having just released his new album Maori Songbook, is veteran singer Dennis Marsh who will performing during the show’s live set.

Fiona Apanui-Kupenga says Marsh topped the New Zealand album charts last week, beating pop favourites such as Britney Spears to the punch and would add an interesting mix to this week’s show.

Also tonight, Oz will be tracking down Temuera Morrison to have a chat about his new movie Tracker – coming soon to cinemas.

Away from the studio, Wairangi Koopu heads down to Whakatane to compete in the annual Ngati Awa sports challenge and roving East Coast reporter Rua Tipoki heads to Uawa, Tolaga Bay, for the Kiorahi secondary school national championship.

Fiona Apanui-Kupenga adds that things are also getting well underway for the Mana Shield 2011 between the Brofressionals (Oz and KT) and the Fressionals (Ruben and Awen) with the first challenge to air next week.
