Kids will whip their hair back and forth this Sunday!

WILLOW ANNOUNCED TO PERFORM AT KIDS’ CHOICE AWARDS
Plus, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian to Present,
Britney Spears to Make Special Appearance,
And Record Number of Global Votes from Kids – 140 million!

Pint-sized superstar Willow Smith has been announced to join the star-studded line-up as a performer for this year’s US Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards (KCA’s) premiering this Sunday night at 6.30pm on Nickelodeon (SKY channel 044). Willow will join The Black Eyed Peas (who won Fave International Band at last year’s Aussie KCA’s) and Nickelodeon’s very own boy band, Big Time Rush, to the music performance line-up.

"I'm so excited to be performing at the Kids' Choice Awards," said Smith. "Really hoping I don't get slimed!"

However the slime will be hard to avoid, with kids (and kids at heart) hoping for a forecast of ‘torrential slime’ this Sunday! The KCA’s is world-famous for its surprise slimings that delight kids and celebs alike: the sliming of Katy Perrymade for an unforgettable moment in last year’s US show, as have the slimings of Liam Hemsworth and Jessica Mauboy in the locally produced Australian version of the show.

Also just announced for the 2011 US show, Kardashian sisters Kim and Kourtney will bring some of their trademark glamour to the stage as presenters. Britney Spears was recently confirmed to make a special appearance, while funny man Jack Black is hosting for a third time.

Other celebs previously announced to take part in the starry, slimy, night to honour kids’ faves include: Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Josh Duhamel, Sofia Vergara, Nick Cannon, Jaden Smith, Miranda Cosgrove, Victoria Justice and Cory Monteith.

Record-breaking numbers of fans around the world – 140 million and counting! – have been voting for their favorites at Nick.com, and Kiwi kids will get to watch winners receive the coveted Nick blimp trophies when the fast-tracked show premieres to NZ audiences this Sunday at 6.30pm, exclusive to Nickelodeon (SKY channel 044).
