It's official - Prime's Crowd Goes Wild is New Zealand's favourite Sports Show.
The Crowd Goes Wild has scooped top honours in the TV Guide's annual Best on The Box awards.
The popular week-night sport show hosted by Andrew Mulligan and Mark Richardson has taken the peoples' choice award for Best Sports Show.
"Ripper! Just goes to show that the public know what they like and that they're prepared to put their money where their mouth is. It's great, we are totally chuffed to win this award, particularly as we were up against some pretty hefty competition in this category," said an ecstatic Mark Richardson, as he and co-host Andrew Mulligan look forward to accepting their award live on the show this Friday (18 March) from TV Guide Editor Julie Eley.
"It is really humbling and appreciated that our viewers have taken the time to vote for us," said Andrew Mulligan. "And by all accounts it was by a healthy margin which is great as Mark forgot to vote this year and I'd have been gutted if we'd lost by a margin of one."
The show is renowned for its irreverent take on the latest sports news and infamous for the no holds barred approach of its reporting team, most notably the whatever-it-takes attitude of James McOnie and the light on her feet style of Hayley Holt.
The Crowd Goes Wild screens Weeknights at 6.30pm on Prime, replays on The Box at 7:00pm and also pops up across SKY's sport channels.
