Auckland's largest Christchurch Earthquake Benefit Concert confirmed!

Auckland's largest concert to benefit Christchurch Earthquake victims has now been 100% confirmed and tickets are on sale now. The concert will take place at ASB Show Grounds, Greenlane on Friday April 1, 2011, with all profits being donated to Red Cross.

Following the recent earthquake tragedy in Christchurch, John Paul Moss from Auckland based company, The Funk Factory Ltd sprung into action. “We've seen a groundswell in the music and entertainment industry of Auckland. Everybody wants to come together and put on the highest quality event with the sole purpose of raising funds to assist our garden city & its people in their time of need. A tight team has been built in order to facilitate this and it is all coming together - now we just need to let the public know,” said Mr. Moss today.

The idea began with a Facebook page which quickly got 70,000 hits and now has 15,000+ confirmed as attending. A marketing campaign begins Monday hoping to cover television, radio and print. You can expect a show produced like nothing else before it... We have a circus of over 30 performers & growing.. so far and a line up encompassing the finest talents from the legends to the most contemporary.

This is all only possible by a clear demonstration of love for our Christchurch family that have got behind this project. I am deeply humbled. What wonderful people that you are. Christchurch, we have your back.
