Come and see what the Pablos tutors do after hours, Miss Mica Still, Kiran-X, Chris Barrand and Di Connal reveal their practice at ROAR! until March 19.
Kiran-X uses stencils to reanimate decaying sex/glamour idols. Chris Barrand imagines ‘things out there… Yeti, Big Foot, Sasquatch…here’s hoping.’ Di Connal makes jewellery from found objects and Miss Mica explores her desires, fears and fantasies with the bright, graphic beasts that populate her dreams.
'AFTER HOURS' recognizes the pivotal role of the Pablos tutors and their input towards the creative culture and project development in the studio. The tutors live and breathe through their art making processes and allow it to positively inform the learning at Pablos art studios.
After hours they passionately work to create art that is devoid of any recognizable hesitation exploring themes of myth, dreams, exploitation and memorabilia.
