42below Cocktail World Cup 2011 Welcomes Playboy Playmates

Here at 42BELOW we know how to put on a great party, we do it every year when we host the world's best bartenders for the greatest and most unique cocktail competition, the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup.

There's another guy who's pretty legendary when it comes to having a good time, his name's Hugh Hefner and he's been larging it at his mansion since the sixties. But even Hef needs inspiration sometimes, so he's sending two of his finest playmates, direct from the grotto to join our 'Carnival of the Cocktail’.

Playboy playmates Jordan Monroe and Ashley Hobbs will be jetting into Queenstown next Monday to cover all the hard news from Cocktail World Cup. Their coverage will be seen by the millions around the world who are fans of the magazine and its editorials, they’ll also be filing reports for Playboy's lifestyle website www.thesmokingjacket.com as well as daily video uploads to their own and Playboy's social media sites.

“Bungee jumping, speed boats, winery and food paring challenges? I don’t know of a more unique cocktail competition, which is why I’m really excited to be heading to New Zealand to help capture this amazing experience for Playboy.” Jordan Monroe, Miss October 2006

And they may not have bunny ears, but 42BELOW is equally thrilled to welcome two of New Zealand's top chefs to Cocktail World Cup. Gordon Ramsay protege and ‘Masterchef’ judge Josh Emett will be catering a luxury boat trip for our international media contingent on Lake Wakatipu and serve as guest judge for the ‘Ready, Steady, Shake’ challenge. And, owner of Wellington's iconic Boulcott St Bistro, Rex Morgan, will be unveiling and judging an all new food and drink matching challenge at Peregrine winery.

The 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup kicks off in Queenstown on March 14th with seven teams from around the world competing in a series of challenges. The grand final event will be held under a big top marquee and will delve into the magical, mystical word of the carnival. Limited tickets are still available from www.1-night.co.nz

Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Christchurch Earthquake Relief Fund.
