Fringe Finale

Fringe Finale

It's been a pretty full on week across New Zealand, and of course everyone at BATS sends our love and thoughts to the people of Christchurch. It's been amazing to see the country mobilise with support, and we are really proud of the Fringe shows who have donated profits to earthquake relief funds, and to all those artists who are banding together for various fundraising events around Wellington and New Zealand. It's been a strong reminder of the incredible community that we are all a part of.

The Fringe wraps up this week, and we have the perfect mix of escapist fun and experimental madness that always sets the BATS programme apart. You have two more nights to catch the superhero stylings of Big Trouble in Small Newtown, and romantic comedy Don't Eat the Bed opens tonight. We also think you should book quickly for Porcelaintoy presents: Contrite Elegant Rebel which will be the perfect musical way to start your weekend and farewell the Fringe.

We'd also love to see you down at the Pit Bar on Saturday night to celebrate the end of the Festival and also to farewell our Technical Manager Anneliese Mudge who is leaving us after four years. We are really sad to see her go, but excited to welcome Todd Houston who flew in from Australia last week where he has been working at Movie World on large scale stunt shows. Wicked.

See you at the theatre!
