Cupid shoots his arrow at Remarkables Market
Lucky Queenstowners Mikel Arriet and Alana Reid walked away with hampers bursting with local goodies from Remarkables Market on Saturday (12 February) after winning its Valentines Shop and Win competition.
Councillor Cath Gilmour drew their winning names from dozens of hopeful shoppers who entered to win the special weekend giveaway featuring a delicious selection of local and regional delights.
Hampers included fresh fruit and vegetables from The Lost Plot and Jon Dumble, peach and nectarine candle and heart shaped tea lights from Melt Candles, cards from Paper Designs and Phoenix stationary, a jewellery set from Southern Jewels, a pork roast, Kapuka Pork, sausages and bread from Deep Creek Deli, Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus from Blackcat bookshop, apricots and cherries from Rockburn Limited, lillies from Pam Read, a necklace from Ngara Sonter, best ever brownie chutney from Traditional Heritage Preserves, Gibbston Valley cheese, Neudorf Pottery, bacon from the Snag Man, Amalka organic soughdough bread, nuts from Aspiring Organics, homemade doll from Enid B, and much, much more.
