NZ Author on Prestigious New York Times List
The New York Times bestseller list is the domain of publishing’s household names... and a writer who resides in suburban Auckland.
New Zealand author Nalini Singh has again cracked the list with Archangel’s Consort (Gollancz, $29.99 RRP), which comes in at number 8 on the mass market fiction list. Singh’s book is sandwiched between mega-selling authors Stieg Larsson and James Patterson.
“To make the New York Times bestseller list is an incredible achievement, and it is extremely unusual for a New Zealander to reach these heights. Nalini has shown herself to be in the top tier of international authors,” says Kevin Chapman, managing director of Hachette NZ
Archangel’s Consort is the third book in Singh’s bestselling ‘Guild Hunter’ series. She is no stranger to the list, having appeared on it 8 times with previous releases.
“It's always the most amazing feeling to see my name on the list. I'm incredibly excited that so many readers are enjoying my books!"says Singh.
Singh is a prolific author with 22 titles to her name. She currently writes two ongoing paranormal romance series – ‘The Guild Hunter’ series and the ‘Psy-Changeling’ series.
Despite her incredible success in the American market, Nalini was relatively unknown here until recently, when her books became widely available through Hachette NZ after Orion picked up UK and Commonwealth rights.
