Reggae Superstar J Boog to Play in Small Town New Zealand
New Zealander’s love their roots and reggae music, and this love has put New Zealand in the spotlight as it leads the international reggae revival with its own form of reggae, dubbed Pacific Reggae. A Pacific influenced style of reggae featuring Maori instruments, ukulele, pacific drums and other unique Pacific sounds.

Hawaiian based Pacific Reggae artist J BOOG is the only artist to have cracked the international commercial radio airwaves, and thanks to promoters Roots Connect, his fans based in the smaller centres around NZ will get the change to experience this sound live in concert.
Promoter Rob Coe-Tipene of Roots Connect says, “we’re excited to have J BOOG headlining the Sweet Summer Tour. And we rapt to be bringing the show directly to heart of Aotearoa, Pacific Reggae is huge in smaller towns, so we wanted to give everyone a chance to see a concert they wouldn't normally get to see”
Mr. Coe-Tipene says “We're spoilt for choice when it comes to reggae, but we don’t get artists of J BOOG’s caliber often, ”
J BOOG is in New Zealand for Reggaelution, a reggae festival in Gisborne on Saturday 19th February, before starting a three-week, seven-concert tour from 25th February to the 12th March. The tour will go to Opononi, Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Whakatane, Napier, and Whanganui.
