The Great Tip Top Ice Cream Hunt is back on
Thousands of Kiwis are eagerly waiting for the first clue in the 2011 Great Tip Top Ice Cream Hunt and their chance to find a golden ticket.
The second-ever Great Tip Top Ice Cream Hunt kicks off on Monday 31st January. In scenes reminiscent of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, last year’s hunt was a major success as lucky Kiwis across the country searched for golden tickets worth $10,000.
“This year a whopping $45,000 dollars is up for grabs as we reward loyal Tip Top fans. Four Kiwis are in to win $10,000 each and five a tidy $1,000 each if they are lucky enough to unveil a golden ticket”, says Angelina Ashcroft from Tip Top.
The 2010 Hunt saw thousands of Kiwis keenly following the clues issued daily, including hundreds of people leaving their home towns and heading out around the country in search for the golden tickets based on the clues issued. Long queues formed at dairies and whole baskets of product lines, presumed to contain the golden tickets, were snapped up.
From the 31st January through to the 21st February 2011 golden tickets will be placed in selected Tip Top single-serve product wrappers including Choc Bar, Jelly Tip, Rocky Road, FruJu, Memphis Meltdown, Popsicle and Trumpet.*
“To help Kiwis find their golden ticket we’re giving away clues on Facebook, Twitter, radio stations and during Shortland Street”, adds Angelina Ashcroft.
Head to the Tip Top Ice Cream Fan Page on Facebook, follow the Great Tip Top Ice Cream Hunt on Twitter (#tiptophunt), visit www.tiptophunt.co.nz or tune in to the The Edge or More FM for daily clues.
Bonus clues will also be available, exclusive to Shortland Street viewers, by watching Shortland Street 7pm weeknights, to get a keyword. Enter the keyword online at www.tiptophunt.co.nz to access the bonus clue.
Advice from previous winners includes making sure you are in to win by ensuring wrappers are checked carefully and hold on to your winning ticket to claim your prize. All prizes must be claimed and Lucky Tickets sent in by 11:59:59 on Thursday 31st March 2011.
