Auckland Big Day Out 2011 Map

Well, not really singing and dancing because if you want a map that does that you're best to stick with Dora the Explorer. But this one does tell you a few crucial things according to Big Day Out promoter, Campbell Smith.

"Hola, this year's site map highlights a few of the changes we've made," says Smith.

"A couple of licensed areas are extended including a bar area that takes in some of the Lilyworld and Boiler Room experiences that will potentially create a mind-bending aural cocktail for a few people.

"You can also see the return of the Silent Disco on this year's map. Three years ago, our event co-ordinator spent 40 minutes throwing shapes to a loop of John Cage's 4'43" before someone told him the gates weren't yet open and the disco wasn't turned on. It's an enduring favourite for many of us."

We are proud to have Smokefree as a partner to the Big Day Out 2011. No tobacco products will be sold at the venue and, additionally, free quit support will be available all day. Mt Smart Stadium is a Smokefree Area. Designated Smoking areas will be provided at the event.
