Kiwis Quinella Listed Macau Winter Trophy

Macau's second stakes race of the 2010/2011 season, the M$750,000 Listed Macau Trophy (1800m) has seen New Zealand horses quinella the feature race of the meeting.

In a thrilling finish, Easy Choice (Howbaddouwantit x Diamond Dust) came from off the rails in the straight to run down fellow New Zealand bred St Peters Gift (St. Petersburg x Royal Pass) to win by a nose in a tight photo finish.

Trained by Stephen Chow, Easy Choice has raced on 29 occasions winning nine of his race day appearances and placing in a further four, earning his owners Kwan Kwong Cheung Evans and Tong Yiu Ming over M$2.2 million in stakes.

Easy Choice was bought by Glenn Old from Airlie Stud at the 2007 Carnival Sale for only $14,000.

New Zealand Bloodstock graduates also won four other races in the meeting, see below for full details.
