Six60 And I Am Giant Summer Mash up

Juice TV and Groove Guide presents

Six60 And I Am Giant Summer Mash up

Now this is a gig not to be missed!! Two of New Zealand’s hot new bands are teaming up for one night only at the Coroglen Tavern on January 8th 2011. And why would a roots/dub/d&b band be doing a gig a rock band? Well why not?

In the last year Six60 have gone from strength to strength. Besides reaching 35,000 fans on Facebook, they signed a distribution deal with Universal Music, released their first single and video (Rise Up 2.0) and sold out their first nationwide tour in both New Zealand AND Australia. Over summer they are performing at all the major festivals but this will be their only non-festival gig.

I Am Giant have been racking up the air points with around the world trips this year. Based in London, this will be their third time to New Zealand and on their way they have toured Asia and Australia twice, and performed gigs in London, France and America. Plus their single ‘City Limits’ is featured on an I-Pad application for Audi alongside ‘some of the best upcoming artists from around the world’. Other artists are La Roux, I Blame Coco, White Lies, Metric and The Rakes.

The bands are supported by DJ9 who will spin her unique mix of rock/hip hop/electronic/drum & bass.

Six60 single Rise Up 2.0 is released via Universal Records. I Am Giant ‘City Limits’ EP is released via Sony Music and both are in stores now.
