Cricket Wellington goes to Hell with new HRV Cup Twenty20 partnership
Cricket Wellington is delighted to announce a piping hot partnership with Hell Pizza stores in Wellington during the HRV Cup Twenty20 competition.
The Wellington Firebirds will become the Hell Firebirds during the HRV Cup, which starts with this weekend’s double header against the Otago Volts on Saturday and the Canterbury Wizards on Sunday.
Cricket Wellington and Hell Pizza stores in Wellington are bringing the partnership to life through a number of initiatives, including an all-new chicken flavoured Firebird pizza and a designated viewing area inside the boundary rope during home games at the Basin Reserve. Winners of a forthcoming radio competition on Classic Hits FM will get access to the Hell Hole, complete with Hell couches and as much Hell pizza as they can eat.
Hell founder Callum Davies said Hell is stoked to be associated with the Hell Firebirds throughout their HRV Cup campaign.
“As longtime cricket supporters of cricket in Wellington, local Hell Pizza stores are proud to be teaming up with the Firebirds,” said Davies.
“From starting out as a single shop in Kelburn in 1996 and growing nationally, we are delighted with the opportunity to support our founding city through the Hell Firebirds.”
Cricket Wellington Chief Executive Gavin Larsen is thrilled to have Hell on board as the Firebirds’ HRV Cup partner.
“Hell Pizza and high-octane Twenty20 cricket at the Basin Reserve are a perfect fit.”
“This exciting new partnership satisfies Wellington sports fans’ hearty appetite for great cricket and great pizza.”
“We are looking forward to everyone coming to the Basin during the HRV Cup and getting their slice of the action.”
