Warning: You could Dai laughing
The pocket rocket of New Zealand comedy is bringing his odd-ball entertaining style to the streets of Christchurch for the World Buskers’ Festival in January.
Dai Henwood will perform at the festival for three nights only.
“We’re thrilled Dai has agreed to perform in the festival because he’s one of New Zealand’s great comedic geniuses,” says World Buskers’ Festival artistic director Jodi Wright.
“Judging by the cult following his TV shows enjoy, his live shows are going to enormously popular and one of the big hits of our 2011 festival.”
Since bursting onto the comedy scene in the late 1990s, Henwood has become one of the New Zealand’s most loved comedians. His side-splitting live shows have earned his numerous awards and seen him become a regular on our TV screens, with two of highly successful shows of his own, Insert Video Here and Roll the Dai.
His journeys around New Zealand and Outback Australia gave television channel C4 some of it’s highest ratings ever. He can now be seen on TV3 as a team captain for the topical comedy show 7 Days.
Henwood is MC and host at the i-SITE Late Night with the Buskers Club on January 27, 28 and 29.
