Photo comp: a woman in Auckland today

Send in your photos and show us what it means to be a woman in Auckland today.

With a brief wide enough to drive a bus through, this photographic competition can be entered by anyone of any age and ability!

You only have till this Thursday 25th November at 5pm to take a photo and send it to photo@theaucklander.co.nz .

We are already seeing many inspired and inspiring photographs of women in Auckland today - empowered and embracing leadership in all roles in their lives.

Please send in your pictures of a colleague, your mother, your neighbour, your sister, the women in your life – displaying leadership in their own way.

There are three entrant categories:
• Youth (12-18),
• Portrait
• Creative Interpretation

Prizes have been supplied by supporters Vodafone, Polaroid and Samsung and include a tutorial from well known Auckland photographer Becky Nunes.

Winning images will be published in the Aucklander 2nd December.

This competition marks the YWCA Auckland’s 125th anniversary and is jointly run by the YWCA and The Aucklander. The YWCA has been working on women’s leadership development for 125 years, supporting the women of Auckland to be empowered; to be able to make informed choices in their lives.
