Napier Farmers’ Market Goes Large.
18 November – For immediate release
Fantastic new location for a larger Napier based Hawke’s Bay Farmer’s Market; from Saturday 4th December 2010 the Napier Farmers’ Market is moving location for the summer to Lower Emerson Street between (Clive and Memorial Squares). “Plans are to revitalise the Napier Market and we have an increase in stalls with initial indications of up to 25 new stalls” Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Market Committee (HBFMC) Chairman, Mark Verry says
Every Saturday morning between 8.30am and 12.30pm Napier shoppers have the opportunity to buy some the best produce Hawke’s Bay can offer, everything from fresh vegetables, meats, wines, preserves, jams, baked goods, hot food and of course coffee. They can talk with the producer, grower or maker about their products and generally indulge in a weekly celebration of fine Hawke’s Bay food.
Mark says ‘this is a great way for Napier people to do their weekly shopping in a relaxed, friendly environment where the produce is as fresh as you can buy it.’
‘It’s well documented that people are thinking a lot more about where their food comes from’ says Mark, ‘times are tough and the food industry world-wide is facing huge challenges. From a shoppers point of view who better to buy from than a trusted, local and friendly supplier. That’s what the Farmers’ Market stands for.’
