Early Bird Entries for 2011 Cycle Challenge
Enthusiastic cyclists will be able to enter the 2011 Contact Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge during next weekend’s 2010 event
for only $85 and go in the draw to win a four day food and wine cruise.
“We often hear jubilant cyclists comment on how they’d like to sign up for next year as they cross the finish line, and
then challenge their support crew to join them – this will be their chance to do exactly that,” said Rob McKnight, Event
Director of the Contact Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge, which will take place on 27th November 2010.
“We will be opening 2011 entries for one weekend only before our traditional July 1 entry opening – riders can enter for
a discounted price, will be protected against any future price increases, and go in the draw to win a fantastic prize,”
he continued.
“They will be able to enter any one of our eleven road cycling and mountain biking events on the spot – entering an
event like ours is often the greatest motivator to train,” he continued.
Organisers are expecting at least 9,000 entrants in this year’s event with record numbers of international entrants and
endurance riders.
Meanwhile online entries for the 2010 event close on Saturday 20th November – late entries will be accepted at the Event
Reception at the Great Lake Centre on Friday 26th November between 10am and 10pm and on Saturday 27th November
