First International Athlete Arrives In NZ
Top women’s single sculler Mirka Knapkova from the Czech Republic will be the first international athlete to arrive in New Zealand for the 2010 World Rowing Championships.
Winner of three World Championships medals, Knapkova is one of the top prospects for this year’s event. She will spend the next month fine tuning her preparations for the World Rowing Championships.
Knapkova will be welcomed at Auckland International tomorrow (Wednesday 29 September) morning by Bill Falconer and Tom Mayo, Chairman and CEO of the Organising Committee.
