Calling All Music Lovers

Calling All Music Lovers

Kiwi FM is pleased to announce that addition of three new shows to its line up – Auckland Calling, Wellington Calling and Christchurch Calling.

To host these exciting new shows Andrew Tidball, Flip Grater and Stevie Starr are joining the Kiwi Whanau, bringing their expertise on these area codes and shining the spotlight on Aotearoa’s musical epicenters.

Each will be an hour long show dedicated to bringing Kiwi listeners the best music, culture and opinion from each region respectively. It’s about keeping the country in touch, without the crappy telecommunications ads, and keeping a finger on the pulse of the street.

Andrew Tidball runs the highly successful and self-confessed Auckland Centric website cheeseontoast.co.nz. He curates a Mum Clubnight once a month as well as DJing out and about most weeks and was voted 'best indie/alternative DJ' at 2010 Nite:Life Awards.

Stevie Starr, lauded by the media as “One of the brightest new things on the New Zealand music scene” (New Zealand Herald). That must mean he knows his stuff right? Wellington through and through, Stevie is making it his mission to bring you the finest parts of the capital.
Flip Grater is a leading Christchurch musician. Running the independent Maiden Records, sitting on the board of CHART (Christchurch Music Industry Trust) and of course releasing her own music (did we mention her new albums out now?). Flip is an expert on all things music in the Garden City and by far the prettiest of the bunch.

Check out the shows weeknights on Kiwi FM.
Wellington Calling: Tuesday 9 – 10pm
Christchurch Calling: Wednesday 9 – 10pm
Auckland Calling: Thursday 9 – 10 pm
