Justin Paton leads an informal talk about taste, freshness, appetite, painterly ‘cuisine’, and Geoff Newton’s exhibition French Dressing, which draws inspiration from art publications and cooking magazines.
Justin Paton is Senior Curator at Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetu. He was previously Curator of Contemporary
Art at Dunedin Public Art Gallery and Editor of the journal Landfall. Justin has written widely about art—and especially painting—for magazines, catalogues and books in New Zealand and
Australia. He’s currently working on the exhibitions De-building, for Christchurch Art Gallery in early 2011, and the Anne Landa Award for Video and New Media Arts at the Art Gallery
of New South Wales.
